Case Study: Ornilux Bird Protection Glass

Meetings

October 20th, 2015 – Today was the second general meeting of the quarter, during which we analyzed a case study on the Ornilux Bird Protection Glass. This product was inspired by the UV-reflecting feature of spider webs to minimize the occurrence of birds flying into glass structures. The case study was provided by the Biomimicry Institute and can be viewed as a PDF here, along with the PowerPoint from the meeting. If you would like to read more information, we have also included links to the Ornilux website and the patent file.
